I had a great weekend! I went back to the City, into the Village. Did a little personal shopping at the Pink Pussy Cat (http://www.pinkpussycatny.com). I highly suggest the store if you are up that way. The ladies were nice, it was clean and they had Coochie Cream (big bottles) for $20.
Alright, get your head out of the gutter! Yes, I’m sure the original intent of the cream was to shave your coochie, but I use it to shave my legs and other sundries. It’s a terrific shaving cream for men, too! I highly, HIGHLY suggest it. Leaves your legs (and other places *wink*) soft and smooth.
They were having a street fair down there as well, that I spent a couple of hours sweating through. It was terrific! If I had had more money, I’d still be broke!
I bought some canvas paintings from an amazing artist, and person, named PJ Cobbs. She does wonderfully colorful paintings of the city and mixed media. Her website is www.pjcobbsarts.com I highly suggest you go check her out.
I found a terrific little vendor that does handmade copper and silver jewelry called Barcelona Crafts. You should check out her etsy site at www.etsy.com/shop/artesaniasbcn Beautifully wrought jewelry, hand painted.
A terrific leather place, with pictures that they take of the City and then put on amazing leather bags, pouches and journals. Their site is www.insiders1.com
Last, but not least, beautifully handmade jewelry (do you see a theme here?) by a beautiful lady, Yumi Chen. I loved her stuff. A lot of gold and raw materials. Her website is www.yumichen.com
Although, for all the shopping, I think the height of my day was the funnel cake! :) Nom, nom!!
I got home around 4 and went out to a movie with a friend. We went and saw “Ted,” with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Freaking hilarious! There were points where I laughed so hard, I cried. Seriously, go see this movie!
Sunday started out not so great. I had to take my little Precious to the vet. She had ear mites, out of control, and had to get her ears cleaned and medicine applied. She was not thrilled with the ride to the vet and she wasn’t thrilled with the medication. But she relented in her hate fest to use me as a pillow yesterday when we got home:
I wasn’t complaining. She only weighs 1lb 7oz!!
Then, I got a surprise – the best kind of surprise!
I got to meet a fellow blogger!!! If you haven’t gone over to check out onlinedatingjournal, you should. She’s hilarious and witty and funny. And she’s staying at my house right now! Unfortunately, I had to come to work today, but I look forward to some wine and converstaion tonight!*
Call me nerdy, but it’s always fun to meet someone in real life that you’ve become friends with on the internet!
*I posted this before onlinedatingjournal’s most recent post. I wasn’t all about throwing her business out there, as it’s not my place. However, if you want to hate on a woman that has had a horrible violation done to her, please do it somewhere else. It is not welcome here. And kudos to her for speaking out about something that is so hard to talk about and is still treated as a taboo.
Today, I have court. I actually had so much fun this weekend, that I pretty much forgot about it till I was taking a shower today and trying to decide what I was going to wear. Crossed fingers that it goes well!
Hope you all had a terrific weekend, beating the heat, and having fun!
